Wheelchair friendly homes
Step-free entries, wide doorways, single-level floor plans and accessible bathrooms – clearly tagged on every listing.
For renters with disability
Finding a rental that genuinely works for your access needs is hard. Classic Real Estate makes it easier – with honest tagging, patient inspections and landlords who understand what reasonable adjustments look like.
A note from our principal. Brian Haupt, who leads Classic Real Estate, is blind. Disability isn't an add-on service here – it's lived experience that shapes how we list properties, run inspections and communicate with every tenant.
What you can expect
Step-free entries, wide doorways, single-level floor plans and accessible bathrooms – clearly tagged on every listing.
We arrange visual doorbells, written confirmations of every conversation and SMS-first communication on request.
Large-print lease packs, audio walk-throughs of properties, and inspections paced for assistive cane or guide dog use.
Comfortable working alongside support coordinators, OTs and SDA providers to match the right home to the right plan.
Open conversation with landlords about reasonable modifications – grab rails, ramps, lever taps – before you sign.
Brian personally takes every enquiry. No bots, no portals you can't navigate – just a phone call or email.
Standard 10-minute open homes don't suit everyone. We're happy to arrange private inspections at a slower pace, send a video walk-through in advance, or meet you and your support worker on site. Just let us know what works.
Under Queensland tenancy law, you can request reasonable modifications to a rental for disability-related needs. We'll negotiate with the landlord on your behalf and put the agreement in writing – before you commit to a lease.
Working with a participant looking for an SDA or accessible rental on the southside? Email info@classicrealestate.com.au with the brief and we'll send a shortlist.
